I say insure it, wear it, and don’t worry. I wore mine the whole time. I couldn’t imagine not wearing it on my honeymoon. I have never understood the whole fake ring thing. If I were that uncomfortable wearing it I just wouldn’t wear one. Wearing a stunt ring (because of possibly being mugged etc.) doesn’t make sense because it wouldn’t matter if the ring was real or not-they will still “mug” you. And wearing a ring with no sentimental value (just for the sake of wearing a ring on that finger) makes no sense to me at all. JMO.

I dont plan to take mine off (either wedding or Ering) because my rings fit REALLY well as in sometimes I have a hard time getting them off when I pull on them!!! If you are going to someplace that isnt as safe you may just want to wear your wedding band, but other than that youll be fine. Ive been in the ocean, the lake, sand, the pool, wakeboarding all with my ring on so snorkeling and other honeymoon stuff doesnt bother me

I’m wearing a fake ring. I’m more concerned with getting my ring all dirty with sun tan lotion and sand and cholorine.

This is a great question. Fiance and I recently talked about buying fake rings or cheaper substitute rings not only for security but also so we can wear them on the beach without worrying too much.
I’m “favorite-ing” this post!

We went down south as well and wore our wedding rings but I didn’t take my engagement ring. I only wore my ring out during the evenings because my rings are very loose due to weight loss before the wedding so I was afraid of losing it in the ocean or pool! Not going to lie, I definitely missed wearing them as a set! I noticed most other women were wearing theirs and was extremely jealous!

We are planning to wear our rings the entire time. Our rings are insured so I am not worried.

We put ours in the safe. To risky for me.
Plus I am paranoid about diamonds falling out.. it just gave me peace of mind.
One of the couples we met.. guy lost his ring on day 2, pulling the kayak out of the ocean, slipped right off.

We left them at home. Hubby is super paranoid. We also put absolutely we could fit in the safe whenever we left the room.
