Get a tiny, cheap spacer ring to keep the e-ring on your finger. I wouldn’t wear my wedding band till the official wedding, makes it less special.

I completely disagree with PP. It’s your finger and you can wear whatever you want on it, and it’s no less “special”!

My good friend and her fiance both just wore plain gold bands during their engagement, out of practicality, finances, AND aesthetics (not wanting an engagement ring). On their wedding day they will take them off briefly, and put them back on again, and they will magically become wedding rings. Does that make them any less special? Absolutely not.

My old e-ring was too big, and my solution was to tape the bottom with a band aid cut in half.  It was a temporary solution that worked for me.

But honestly, I wouldn’t wear the wedding band before the wedding.   Thats my opinion only though.

I love the whole idea of wearing the ring for the first time when we exchanged rings but if you want to wear the ring now, you can if you want.  Darling Husband wore his ring as soon as we bought it; it didn’t bother me at all.

If it were me I wouldn’t wear it. For me, that would make the band less special on the day of the wedding. That’s a huge part of the ceremony is exchanging the bands that symbolize your newly committed union as a married couple.

When I realized my e-ring was too big  just skipped wearing a ring on that finger while I waited for it to come back from being re-sized. I prefererred to have a naked engagament finger than wear my band.

But every bride should do what they feel works best for them. So do what feels right for you.

@tisposeroperche:  Exactly what I was thinking/would do. You can get a thin, pretty silver band, OP, from etsy for $20! Slip it on top of your ering and people wont even see it!

@Weetzie:  hope this works for you!  I had a few different methods, so just mess around till you find a good one.  I would have to replace the bandaid strips every week, but the bandaid didn’t leave any sticky residue on the ring, which is why I choose that method.

My Fiance is wearing his wedding band! I told him I wish he wouldn’t. His grandma said it was bad luck. Nope, he doesn’t care 🙂 He is wearing it! And he looks pretty hot! Committment is so attractive. RAWR!

My friend also wear hers because she wants to.

I wear mine around the house sometimes and stare at it. LOL but I want it to be slipped on my finger officially for the first time on my wedding day so I will not be wearing it.

To each their own though! Do what you have to do!

I don’t think there is anything wrong with wearing it now, however, if you feel at all weird about it I would be. Worriedyou’re regret it later. If you think you won’t regret it, do it! It’s your ring and your hand who cares what others think!!
