I am not wearing white to my shower. I’m wearing yellow with some white detailing. (Yellow and blue are our wedding colors). I love the dress and I feel good in it– so that’s what really matters. I did just fine a white dress that I love love love, but I’m saving it for the rehearsal dinner. My mom was actually wondering why I wanted white for the rehearsal and I told her that I wanted to feel like the bride!! But, the shower is small and casual… It never even crossed my mind that I need to wear something “bridal”. Don’t worry about it a bit!

This is the dress I am wearing to my shower: (not white, but I love it!)
This is the dress I am wearing to my rehearsal dinner (without the black belt and with a layered necklace):
Wear what makes you feel great! Everyone knows they’re there for you! Don’t worry at all about wearing something bridal. 🙂

I’ve never really understood why people wear white to the shower or rehearsal dinner. It’s not like anyone will forget that you’re the bride! But of course, if you like white and it looks good on you, then go for it!
I’m not going to have a shower and my rehearsal dinner will most likely be pizza or bbq on the beach, so I don’t have to worry about it!

I’m having two showers (one at home in VA, one at his hometown in TX), and I wore two completely different things! One will incorporate white, as it was a light pink with white lace overlay, but for the one in my hometown I wore a hot pink dress! I think white is fun to wear to a shower (that was certainly my intention when I went dress shopping!) but at the end of the day, you should wear whatever makes you happiest, regardless of color.

I’m doing white for rehearsal, but just something nice for shower. Haven’t picked an outfit yet, but I doubt it’ll be white. 🙂
