    @megan331979:  Hmm, my e-ring only fits on one finger total!  I don’t have any finger on my right hand that it would fit on.

    Here’s my ring!  I have only one ring, no complimentary band as you can see it’s already pretty wide!

    That’s not an e-ring, that’s a RHR-a right hand ring!

    @megan331979:  I gotcha. That’s very romantic of him! You’ve got a great one πŸ™‚

    But you mentioned that he bought this thinking you would wear it on your right hand, so in your place I would discuss with him what he thinks of your idea of you wearing it on your left ring finger, or, getting another wedding band-like ring to wear with it.

    Maybe he’ll think one of those is a much better idea than his original idea. Or maybe he’ll feel uncomfortable with the ideas because of the symbolism confusion he may perceive it as (similar to my view). Once you know how strongly he feels about how he thought you would wear this ring, you can weigh that against your own feelings about it. In the end, it comes down to doing what is win-win for both of you.

    @megan331979:  That ring is gorgeous!! Wow!

    I have a solitaire ering that I wear with bands on my left hand, I do wear solitaires with bands on my right hand too. My original wedding band is yellow gold, and I do not like it with my new ering, so I decided to get a yellow gold ruby solitaire to wear with my wedding band on my right hand.

    My ering:

    My yellow gold set, on my left hand becasue it’s too hard to photograph my right. (the stone is not set yet, just propped on the setting)

    @megan331979:  I have only been married for 4 days but my e-ring is on my right hand. It is large and pear shaped with a split shank. I did not want a curved band because I think a solitary simple band looks quite elegant and I wanted the flexibility to wear my band alone. The two don’t fit or look good together at all so my engagement ring has been relegated to the other hand.

    @megan331979:  I will not be wearing my e-ring on my right hand, ever. The thing about the guard…I have a wrap. A diamond solitaire with a wrap that makes is a 5 stone ring. I have been accused several times of wearing my wedding ring on the wrong hand or trying to hide being married (when I was single). It was a RHR, I bought it for myself as a RHR. I guess anything diamond *must* be an e-ring? I dunno. I quit wearing it. Here’s a pic for referrence of said ring.
