I am trying to be able to figure out how to weatherproof/ decorate this space. We haven’t booked it yet, but we were thinking of trying to have a relaxed clambake, something a little more rustic than the traditional wedding. We were thinking of May or June 2013 in Salem, MA, but with the unpredictable weather we know we might need to be creative with the space so everyone can still be comfortable. Please if anyone has ideas as to how to do this to this space I would love to hear them. I would also like to hang up lots of fabric on the siding to give more of a dramatic/whimsy feel so if ideas could work with that it would be great.

The pavilion in the first pic in this post shows roll down canvas curtains but that could be costly for you to do on your own. You could price out painter’s drop cloths.
There are also some great decorating ideas:

I have a similar one at a park in Virginia. My mom and I talked about getting plastic dropcloth to throw up as walls in case of emergency rain. But I plan to drap the four corners with a sheer material kinda like this

@hisbahamamama: Looking forward to seeing the photos. I also am planning on material and hope it will be ok. I would really like to see what other people are doing to get ideas. 🙂
