I am constantly losing time to the black hole of the internet, especially when its wedding-related. Veil shopping = at least 6 hours; shoe shopping = at least 10 hours (shameful); grooms suit = 8 hours; general etsy or BHLDN browsing = incalculable….. and I rarely purchase anything so I have nothing to show for it (besides for my happy procrastination face). My current obsession is lingerie and bridesmaids gifts.
Are there any wedding related sites where you have purchased something you absolutely love and/or gotten a great deal? Lets share those websites and congratulate the bees that made it out of the black hole of wedding browsing!

God do I feel you pain. I have a tea length dress so shoes are very important to me and I must have wasted DAYS trying to find the exact right pair, I also ordered four pairs and sent them all back – not kidding! In the end I decided that if what I wanted didn’t exist then I had to try and create my own. So, I bought a lovely (if a bit boring) pair of ivory lace peep toes and a gorgeous shoe clip which matches my dress and theme perfectly. The shoe clip is my best deal and one of my favourite things, it was from Freya Rose (I’m in the UK – not sure if you have this in the US) and was over 50% off in the sale, plus was EXACTLY what I was looking for. I hadn’t considered Freya Rose before because her stuff is way too expensive but this was a steal and has transformed my shoes and made them unique!

- Wedding: June 2014 - Gold Hill Gardens
I was warned by my Future Sister-In-Law (who got married last summer) that it’s really easy to get obsessed with some detail . . . While I think I’ve managed to skip that for the most part, I’m definitely “guilty” of it when it comes to my jewelry! I saw a necklace I loved at nordstrom, but it was $250. I spent probably 10 hours looking online before finally settling on a set from annamall on etsy for 1/5 the price. Then a week later she canceled my order, ugh! So it was back to the internets . . . Another 10-12 hours down the drain (at least it was spring break!) before settling on my third choice, from weddingfactorydirect.com. It’s beautiful, and cost less for a bracelet and several pairs of earrings so I have options than the nordies necklace. So, ultimately, I feel your pain! 🙂

ebay-legit….we just bought and received our unity candle holder on ebay….won it for a whopping $4 plus about $3.50 in shipping and handling….soo about $7.50 for a plain gold unity candle holder that the cheapest I found it at “wedding websites” was about $17….. same story with our guestbook, pen, and ring bearer pillow (came as a set) got it on ebay for I think it was $20 with shipping and handling….compared to a similar guest book that was $40 JUST FOR THE BOOK!….
I have found a lot of things on ebay….including bridesmaid jewelry, my jewelry, my possible shoes, and literally half our gifts for bridal parties, and parents for a cheap steal compared to buying them from retailers…
the big secret with ebay is to find a few that are almost identical and there usually are….and if you can find buy it now do it….otherwise bid wars get outrageous for one item….and pick your top limit and keep trying don’t get suckered into a bid war….
soo so far Ebay has been my fave spot….them and etsy…..
OHHH I ALMOST FORGOT!! We are getting a lot of stuff including out popcorn treat bags from http://www.orientaltrading.com they seriously have some great deals and that is where we bought our unity candles from for a fraction of the price as others…..I think on all 3 we are spending maybe $28….soo yay!
