I’m gonna look bad in photos. Like really I am SO not photogenic. I have a feeling I’m not gonna like a lot of pictures of myself. A lot of times I look so awkward. I have a small gap in my front teeth that I hate, and I’m worried about seeing that and only that. Ugh.. Anyone else feel like that? How do I just not think about it??

you have to embrace imperfections…. stop worrying, I’m sure you will look beautiful.

The more you worry, the more THAT awkwardness will show in your pictures. Relax 🙂 It’s a day to celebrate your love for eachother. If that is what you are feeling, that will show in your pictures, and you will be able to see yourself in the same light that your fiance gets to see you (smiling at him, looking lovingly into his eyes, etc etc). And clearly, he thinks you are beautiful…

@zarethacosta: I’m nervous about up close face shots. I’m not gonna want to smile… Or maybe I could keep my mouth closed so my teeth don’t show?? Ugh idk

@indecisivebride89: I have a hard time just relaxing and letting it come out naturally. I’m gonna try not to think about it and hope my pics come out okay. Thanks.

I have thought about this a lot, too. You just have to think that the photographer will be takng a bajillion pictures…you are bound to look great in a lot of them! I just saw the photos from my bridal shoot, and while there are a lot I think I look derpy in, my mother and BFFs love them anyway! Also, there are the ones that look great. Just have to get out of your own head.

@legenwaitforitdary: I know what you mean. I feel really pretty when I look in the mirror in the morning and then I see pictures of myself and wonder what went wrong?! haha But you really won’t need to worry about this day because you’re going to have great hair and make up that you probably don’t usually have AND a professional photographer that will use the proper lighting.
Don’t be worried! Be excited!

Gaps are so cute! That is a huge selling point for models! Plus it’s so “you”, I’m sure. I agree, have a drink or two, try to relax, and be joyful – that will come through beautifully in the pictures. xoxo

oh and about the gap in your teeth, in the future you could always get dental bonding. I had a big gap between my two front teeth and about 10 years ago, I had bonding added to the teeth and it is still attached and my teeth look completely natural and nice looking. I think don’t think it is too expensive either.
