We did not, but I would have LOVED to. We’ve had “puppy fever” for a few years, but cannot get one at our current residence. I would have loved to have a dog in our photos! I would have loved to have our cat too, except he would have hated the whole experience lol…

We had our puppy in our engagement pics. I had my little sis, future Maid/Matron of Honor, come along to take care of puppy while we were getting the rest of the pics taken, but I LOVE  them!!!

It was a total accident while doing my bridal portraits, but it’s one of my faves!

We had our 2 dogs in some of our pictures with us and also had my sister come along to take them home for us after their pics were done so we could do the rest in peace, haha. It was fun but REALLY challenging because they were both so distracted by other things going on. Thankfully our photographer is a big dog person and was super patient and understanding. We did get some nice pictures with and of them, which I am grateful for because they are our babies.  The one I’m posting isn’t the best of the dogs, they are both making such dopey expressions lol but the others are all too big to upload.

I read somewhere that it’s best to keep your pets out of photoshoots because they can be too distracting… but if you love your pets enough, why should that matter!

Oh yes, Forrest chewed that stick up real good…

We brought our dog to our engagement shoot. Unfortunately, our venue will not allow dogs ๐Ÿ™

Our engagement location didn’t allow dogs, but we took a couple at the end, outside the gates of the garden.  We really wanted to have her at the ceremony, but couldn’t figure out how to make it work.

We will be taking engagement photos with our dog and getting him a little bowtie (we’ll see how long it takes before he chews that up). He’s skiddish around people he doesn’t know so we can’t take him to the wedding because he’ll just bark at everyone. My mom will be taking our engagement photos and he loves her so it should go pretty smoothly. He’s one of our furbabies and if my cat didn’t freak out about being outside I’d take him too.

We took epics with our dog.  I would love to have some wedding shots with her but logistically and for her peace of mind it isn’t worth the stress she would likely endure.
