Is this a newspaper announcement or a mailable wedding announcement?

If it were an annnouncement prepared before the wedding with a bridal portrait, then the wording would probably included the intended attendants.

But, it sounds like the anouncment is being put together after the wedding, so no mention of the missing bridesmaid is needed. It’s an account of what happened with details like what you wore, what was in the bouquet etc, so it should be accurate to the day of.

If she was your only witness and you don’t have a name for who was standing up for you, it can simply be omitted. The local newspaper will know how to deal with it since they do a lot of these.

Hope this helps!
