So I had a quick look around PINTEREST as well and I think your best pretty/DIY option, would be a square arch made out of branchesthat you can scavenge around where you live.  These look great when set next to the sand. You can then decorate with whatever you have that is pretty and inexpensive. Flowers or ribbons or greenery all of it looks good. You can do a single arch like below. Or do two to make something similar to a Jewish Chuppah, although I would alter the design to have it open at the top not under a canopy to avoid cultural appropriation. If the bases are heavy enough, the poles should slide in and you could quickly attach the top cross pole with zip ties (covered with decoration), that should be self supporting. I found a great blog that goes through the practicalities of making the arch which should help you make it stable. Then you just need to decide how to decorate it. I put some pic for reference. Good luck.

Edit: I forgot to mention that I am pretty sure this could be transported as two long poles and 1 middle and assembled on site, wouldn’t take up too much room but might require a bit of time to make it look good day of so that is something to think about.
