Here are some shots of Archeo. Most are just taken with cell phone cameras (professional shots are not ready). They’re not the best, but I hope they give all prospective brides a better idea of the space. I have to make a point of saying that the pictures do NOT do the place justice! Everyone at the wedding kept saying how beautiful everything was and how wonderful the food was and how great the location was. I think they had a good time!
FYI – for those who don’t know, there is a larger bathroom for people with mobility issues just beside the regular bathrooms. This larger bathroom is also useful for changing baby diapers (if necessary – they provided a table) and for helping the bride to bustle her dress. LOTS OF ROOM!
If any bees out there need some extra info, PM me! I’ll be happy to help out.
And now….the pics!
Archeo does menus for you if you want…
Our First Dance
Hors D’Oeuvre….I didn’t have any (was taking pictures), but they were apparently VERY yummy
Second Course – my absolute favourite course
Third Course (a) arctic char (tastes like and looks like salmon)
Third Course (b) braised short rib boeuf bourguignon – this was a hit!
The head table (we put it by the wall so we didn’t have our backs to anyone)
Place Cards (put at small table at the entrance)
One version of the table decor
Teapot on head table
Cake – Rahier Patisserie. The bakery gave me the best deal out of every other place I contacted. The cake itself was to die for! Outside of cake was white chocolate…inside was chocolate mousse and a little chocolate sponge. Not your typical wedding cake, but I’m not the typical bride! Getting hungry just looking at it.
This is the “big table” by the patio doors to the right of the bar. I had my guestbook there, along with the cake and various other items. There was still tons of space.
We also did a late night table with pizzas. Not a scrap was left.
