I have an antique ering from the 1920’s. Before I fully decide to go the custom wedding band look, I want to fully explore options of “ready made” bands.
Here is my ering.
The band options below are all online so I don’t have pictures with my specific ering.
Option 1 – antique diamond bands. Can wear one band, or one on each side like a wrap. The ering it is pictured with is very similar in size and shape to mine.
Option 2 – plain white gold band. Something like this:
What do you all think? Do you like any of these options? Do you have any other ideas?

Personally I would go white gold. The diamond bands are beautiful, but I think they’ll end up looking like they’re part of your e-ring, not separate from it. Your e-ring is gorgeous and so unique, I would want to show it off.

Fiance likes the plain too for just those reasons. Maybe I’m just blinded by the idea of more bling 🙂

Personally, I think your engagement ring is so beautiful that it doesn’t need a wedding band at all. 🙂

i think you should go with a thin band with some engraved detail like your ering. a plain band may look too out of place. of course, i’d have to see it together but i’m thinking something like this.

@mypinkshoes: Ou, I like that band! Would go sooo well with the e-ring!!
I do like the look of 2 curved diamond bands…the only thing that bothers me is it doesn’t seem obvious that you are married when you have two symmetrical bands. Lots of women like them though! I’m a fan of a single wedding band that stands out 😉

I actually have a wedding band just like the white gold one you posted. My ring was custom made with heirloom diamonds and the shape if mine is also pretty unique. The jeweler who did the work for me did the band just like that to fit right in. While I can never wear it alone it looks great together. I would say you should either go with one diamond band or the plain white gold. I think two on each side are a bit over the top.

I vote for an engraved band too 🙂 I think filigree Engagement Ring will look lovely with a similar design on the wedding band.
I am sorry, the closest image I could find was on ebay, not promoting them at all!

Went to the mall today to just see how I liked a plain band vs a diamond band with my ering. I didn’t like the diamond band at all! It really took away from the ering and just didn’t look right.
Plain band or one with filigree to match the ering it is!
