For the last few months my Fiance and I have been on the great wedding band hunt. Typical for him, he is willing to wear anything and it has really just been me trying to find a band to wear with my engagement ring. My engagement ring is flat with quite a thick band (height wise) and right away all the jewelers we have gone to recommend a flat band of exactly the same width.
Unfortunately, as I work with young kids, I am looking for a band that I can wear both with my engagement ring and by itself, and I dislike the narrow flat bands alone (I feel like they look like a piece of piping)…even though they look best with my engagement ring.
Last week I purchased a band that are much thicker (4mm rather than 2mm) and on its own I love it! Bonus, it matches FI’s band perfectly. It is not flat at all, which due to the milgrain edge it has, doesn’t bother me… However, due to the thickness of my engagement ring, the band doesn’t match up with it. The wedding band sits lower.
Basically, I would love some opinions on whether it looks alright or if I should keep looking! I like the thickness of the band, I am just wondering if I need to find a different style.
