parig :  if you put the band on top of the engagement ring instead of under it that will help. Ring snuggies are good too. I lost weight after my wedding, so I wear a ring snuggie on on engagement ring to keep them from moving too much.

So its totally normal to have to go up in size with a wider band. I had a super super wide setting a few years ago and had to go up an entire ring size maybe more I cant remember but at least a whole ring size. Why not do a 6.5 on the 5mm engagement and a 6 or 6.25 on the 1/2 eternity? Also, I had a 1/2 eternity and it spun constantly, it was totally the right size, it just spent most of the time with the diamonds on the palm side of my finger vs where its should be on top center with my solitaire. I recently upgraded too and decided to go with a slightly wider diamond setting and no band what so ever, but if I do ever decide to get a band I will probably do a gold beaded or twist band. But if you can afford an eternity I would do that. I just couldn’t justify it at the time when I had the solitaire. Best of luck, share with us what you end up doing. 🙂
