Oops I voted before reading your post. I have a three stone ring (main stones are F) with D-F shoulder stones and D-F wedding band. I don’t think it matters in the colourless range, but I wouldn’t go lower than a F/G next to a D

I doubt you’ll notice a difference between a D and an F. Also, im assuming the wedding band diamonds are smaller?  If so, you could probably go with different colours within reaso.  I wouldnt go below a G in the band. Are you able to return it, just in case you dont like it?

I think they need to be close in C’s. Not match exactly, but close. And I think your D and F are close enough that you won’t notice.

My center stone is an E, my sidestones are F and my wedding band stones are F-G. Mr. Lk is fairly color sensitive, and he hasn’t noticed a huge difference in my rings. So I think that of you stay within 1-2 grades from your original, it should be fine.

@M1cha3la:  They don’t have to match exactly, but there really shouldnt be too much of a difference. I have several stacking bands that I wear on my right hand, and I notice a huge color difference between them and my e-ring. My Fiance made sure all the stones in my e-ring (the pave ones) are all the same color as the main stone (F)

My wedding band will have stones with very similar specs.

Not if your w-band is solid precious metal, which is my preference πŸ™‚

In general I would not have diamonds sitting together that are more than one quality grade apart. It will draw unflattering attention to the one(s) with the worse grade.

I’d say keep them close, but they don’t have to match completely.

My center stone is a G, e-ring stones are F, and wedding band is H.

    I can’t notice a difference.

Well I didn’t know how to vote because it is important to be close, but D-F should be totally fine. I wouldn’t get a band with I/J melee with your D center, but F is still true colorless and should match fine. I think it would be very difficult, if not impossible, to tell a difference.

I think clarity doesn’t matter so much for pave stones, or small stones. But color is definitely important since it’s gotta match the Engagement Ring.
