Hi girls! I am currently trying on decide on my wedding band and would highly appreciate your help!!
I am undecided between two rings:
The first one is this beautiful thin pavé band that would go along very well with my engagement ring but sadly cannot be engraved bc it’s too thin.

And the second option is a more traditional style with milgrain and its engravable. However I don’t think it matches well with my engament ring.

Here I leave a pic of my engagement ring to see what you girls think would be the best option!

Thank you!!!!

I think band 1 will look better with your ering. That’s the one I’d pick.

melusine10 : I think I prefer the pavé option, it would match your ring beautifully.
If engraving is important to you, could you possibly choose a wider pavé band?

How about a 1/2 eternity band? They only have about 8-10 diamonds on top, the back is a regular band. This gives you a bit of space for engraving.

I vote the 1st band…but why can’t you have it engraved? I have a similar one, and mine is engraved.

missbuckeye16 : They told me it was too thin to engrave! It’s about 1.4mm. How think is yours??

I prefer the pave band! It can be engraved for sure, that’s no thinner than my skinny version of Cartier’s trinity ring and I have one of the three engraved with a full city name and date that we emigrated! You may just have to find a better place to engrave it if the seller can’t do it.

melusine10 : ah…that might be it. Mine is approx 2.60mm. The text IS small…but it was able to be engraved…AND I also have 3 hidden gemstones inside too. (Ruby, Aquamarine and Diamond for family that passed). It’s platinum also—which I’m not sure if it makes a difference? I wouldn’t think so.

I just wanted to add that I have a 2.5mm plain milgrain band and reviews online from those who have had the ring engraved have said its really too small to appreciate. If choosing the plain band for the engraving alone you may be best going with the pave option.
