So back a few posts ago, I shared my Engagement Ring and the band we had planned on using. Well, I finally got around to trying them on together and much to my dismay I’m not as fond of the pairing as I thought I’d be.
Bad cell pic. Sorry.
I feel a bit like the band competes with the engagement ring, and paired together, I feel a bit like the pair overwhelms my hand. You can kind of tell in the picture I have itty bitty baby hands. Longish fingers… but baby hands.
I’ve also been thinking about turning the band into an RHR provided my mom is okay with that (her mom’s ring, just feel like the “permission” is a respect thing should she prefer to do something else with it in the event I don’t use it as a wedding band). But at the same time, I have very very litle experience with jewelry, so I’m wondering if it will be any different after the ring is sized.
So I’m curious as to what you bees have to say. Thanks, all! :]

@flaxenfox: do you think you can take a closer picture? i cannot see any detail in your pic so it’s hard to decide if they look good or not.

@flaxenfox: Personally, I like it. But I’m a fan of coverage and vintage.

To me, they don’t really match. I’d go for something simple – plain, milgrained or even a small pave band.

@flaxenfox: thanks for the better pic. i don’t think the pair looks bad or even to overwhelming for your hand but that’s up to you.
i would suggest going to the store and trying on a variety of other styles to see what you really like with your ering.

I think that the band competes with your beautiful e-ring. I would either wear them on separate hands and get another band or just wear them on separate hands.

They are both beautiful rings but I honestly don’t think they go together terribly well and because of this, neither look as good as they could. I’d recommend a plainer band and to wear your mom’s ring as a RHR.
