Well, I had decided to get this ring (2nd one in the pic) with green garnets. But then was told that garnets may be too soft for everyday wear. (I work at a computer and don’t wear my rings for housework, so maybe it’s not that bad?) So I was going to get green sapphires, but this ring isn’t available in green sapphires.

I’m wondering if I should chance it with the garnets. Or maybe I should settle for getting a ring with blue sapphires or diamonds; though neither are my first choice in color.
My e-ring:

You can always buy a plain inexpensive white gold band to wear around the house and still get your ring of your dreams.

I think the hardness of the gems is much less of an issue with small accent stones than it is if you were talking about the main stone in a ring. Go for the garnets! What a beautiful color.
