I love my engagement ring so much, but any normal wedding band doesn’t sit flush against it and there’s a gap that I just don’t like. Any ideas for a wedding band? I’m not sold on the curved ones, but would love to see any of your emerald cuts with wedding bands. Thank you!!

I bought an open spacer band with diamonds on each side and the open area fits perfectly around the setting. I also didn’t want a curved band so other than going custom or curved this seemed to be the only option and I actually love it. Your ring is stunning and I hope you can find your perfect wedding band.

I agree with getting an open band wedding ring! Photo below plus a link with more examples. For your gorgeous ring, I’d do a custom slightly wider plain gold band to showcase that beautiful stone!

I have a custom band with a notch cut out so it sits flush with my emerald cut engagement ring. I love it!!

What a gorgetous set! I’m curious – do the rings stay together and aligned? What I mean is, during use of your hands, does the ering always stay in the little notch of the wedding band? That’s something I have wondered about open wedding bands.

Thank you! No, they don’t stay aligned all the time. They do stay aligned a lot of the time but they also get out of sync quite often. When I first started wearing it I was worried it would irritate me, but I’ve found that it really doesn’t. I like to have things to fidget with so I actually find I sort of enjoy pushing it back into the little notch when it gets out of alignment.

My original wedding set had two tiny prongs on the inside of the wedding band that fit into openings in the basket. This prevented spinning perfectly.
