Hi ladies! So I love my ring:) solitaire, 0.85 carat, with 3 mm tapered white gold band. One of the reasons I wanted this style is so I can stack it. But at the moment, I can’t decide what kind of wedding band I want. I’m not sure if I want something very classic to exchange on our wedding day, or if I want maybe something rose gold or an Art Deco style to keep it interesting (I do love the mixed metal look). I know I wouldn’t want something larger than 2 mm, as I don’t want a band that will overwhelm my diamond. Any suggestions? Also pictures of rings (especially solitaires in the same carat range) with wedding bands would be very helpful! So ladies…should I go very classic and wait to get something fun later? Or have fun now?:)

I know this sounds boring, so apologies, but I would go with something classic now and add the fun later. I love plain bands so would go with one of those in white gold myself, but a diamond set eternity style white gold band would also look really classic and sophisticated. Once you have the classic, timeless look nailed I would start looking at bands in different metals, styles and even set with different coloured gemstones to add to your stack. However, I have also seen some bees mix rose gold bands with white gold e rings and produce drool worthy combinations, so if you decide to go that route it’ll also look amazing I think. I would just tend to play very safe with my first band!

I picked this out for my band, but lately I’ve been thinking I should get something plain/classic since this style is a little trendy. Im thinking just a 2mm white gold band.

First of all, gorgeous ring! I love your solitaire and how timeless and classic it is. I think pretty much any band would go with that. My original setting looked just like yours and I wore a channel set diamond band with it – it was tasteful and classic, but had just enough sparkle to give it that extra oomph! I still wear my set like that, but had the setting remade to give it a more modern edge.

Thank you so much!! I decided to go for it and got a rose gold wedding band 🙂
