It was crazy humid this day, so excuse the swollen fingers!! About 2/3 carat solitaire with 1/4 carat 7 stone band, rings are both 4.5! I love solitaires with giant sparkly bands!! Mine was just the most giant available at the time lol

lopeztosmith:  honestly, I have a really low setting and it might rub a smidge but I don’t notice it! It doesn’t bother me at all! She told me not to get a full eternity though, since people often have to repair them (not sure if that’s true or not, but I liked this band better than the eternities they had anyway!). Edit: “she” was the jeweler who sold it to us lol, I had another sentence about her but it vanished!

lopeztosmith:  Thanks! I originally wanted a single prong band but yeah, the diamonds rubbing was a small concern, since it can damage your prongs. If I hadn’t come across a channel set I liked, I probably would have gotten a spacer band or had them soldered

I went for a full channel-set eternity ring for my w-ring, but I had actually planned to go for a plain band because they are so timeless! The jeweler upsold me, but in a very hands-off way. He just brought out my clean and modern w-ring, a cute starlight band, and the simple one I had requested, and said, “These rings all fit your style, I think.” He was right. I loved all of them, but this one was just a little nicer.

lopeztosmith:  thanks! I always thought i wanted a very very thin wedding band with full eternity. But then when i tried one on with larger stones, there was no turning back

lopeztosmith:  do what I’m doing! I have a solitaire and can’t decide what I want.. So I ordered a couple of styles off Amazon, silver or stainless steel cheapos just to get an idea of what I like. So far channel set is winning, but I am waiting on a domed plain band to come in to see if I like that. The plain band I ordered didn’t sit high enough so it looked funny with my band.

I too wanted something that was low-profile and wouldn’t compete with my solitaire. 🙂 I ended up having a band handmade by a seller on Etsy because I really wanted something with detail, but not bling, in the band and nothing was matching my dreams!
