I already purchased a .25 ctw contour band that fits to my ering and I love it BUT I just found a .5 ctw band with the same specs for the same price as my .25 ctw ring. The .5 ctw ring is straight so I would have a small gap between the band and my ering If I went with that band.
The .25 band is from a large chain store (hence the price mark up), but I can take it in to get the WG redipped and sized with the lifetime warranty but I wouldn’t have that for the .5 ctw band so I would have to pay to have it redipped and resized. Looking at the benefits the .25 ctw seems more appealing but I also like the idea of getting a higher ctw for the same price.
Which band should I go with?
And this is the .5 ctw ring (I don’t have pictures of it with my ring)

Your e-ring loooks beautiful with the contour band! I’d keep the contour band, it looks like it was made for your e-ring 🙂

Personally I love how the curved band fits your ring and looks with it! I wish you had a picture of the other one 🙁 this would be the deciding factor for me. ..are you planning on wearing it as a set 24/7 or are you going to be wearing just the band from time to time? The curved band may look odd on its own, while the straight band will stand alone fine. It all comes down to what you like more.

Keep the one you have. It looks ridiculously blingy and it fits your ering perfectly! I don’t think you need the higher ctw!

I also like the curved; it compliments your e-ring. I feel like anything bigger would overpower it.

It all depends on what you like more. But if you will ask me, then I will suggest you to go with contour band.

I wish I had a picture with it too! The .5 is only sold online. I think I’ll go a nearby jeweler to try on some .5 bands to get pictures. I have tried on .5 before but didn’t get any pictures and didn’t get my hopes up because they were over budget at the big chain stores. Having pictures would definitely make it easier to compare! I also plan on always wearing as a set. I work a desk job so there is really no reason to wear the band alone.

I would stick with the band you have. It looks like it was made for your e-ring!

Do you have to choose? Can you just get the new 1/2 ct band to stack and/or substitute, as you see fit?

I think it depends on whether you want to wear you wedding band on its own. Personally, I dislike contour bands by themself, so I’d get the straight one. But if you don’t mind them or don’t plan on wearing them separately then the contour one shouldn’t be an issue.

If you’re always going to wear it as a set, I say go for the contour; it looks incredible! However, definitely go try on a few straight ones. You don’t want to regret such an important purchase!

I say stick with the contour for now. It looks perfect with your ring. Perhaps you could express interest in also having the straight band and be given it for a future anniversary (or birthday, or Christmas, or whatever you celebrate with gift giving…).

I love the curved band with your ering, it complements it so beautifully!

I have a similar ring – I think you might find that the 0.5tcw ‘competes’ with your ring when you try it.
With a 3 stone you need to go small on a diamond band. The 0.25 tcw looks lovely.

I like the way you think!!! But buying both is a little much for us right now with the wedding coming up! But hopefully I can get this to happen for an anniversary or something. The more bling the better!
That is a wonderful idea! Now I know what to hint for future special occasions!
