- Wedding: October 2004
So….I have to thank you all for the help you didn’t realize you had given me. For my birthday my husband and I decided we would purchase a new wedding set for me. I don’t wear the one I have, because while beautiful after 7 years of marriage my tastes have changed slightly and we wanted to keep the set as it was and not restlye it….but rather spend about the same on a second set (then I have the opiion of changing them out)
So I have been reading the board for help with shopping, and armed with a lot of good information, I found my dream ring at a local pawn shop! And low and behold it was my exact size and I got them down in price by $500.00!
I knew a wedding band would be an issue because of the low profile of the ring…..but I got a flyer for sears the other day and they were having an end of season clearance and an additional 15% and I found a ring that looked almost identical to my new e ring and I bought it.
Of course, last night, while trolling online, I think I found out the maker of my ring and they have a wedding band that is a perfect fit….so my question is
Keep the band with the gap, which matches really well
or save the additional $600.00 needed to by the matching band
option three, is there is a band at pompeii3, which is a close fit….but not idential match with the miligrain and things like that
there’s def some pros and cons, pros, it’s nice to have a matched set, and there would be no gap
cons, it’s a good bit more then I planned on spending, and it’s not a band that you can wear alone, where the one with the gap is….and I think I like the gap….because each ring stands alone with it’s own identity
