Hi gang! So a few weeks ago Fiance and I went to pick out wedding bands. The store we went to helped him design my ering originally, and they were great then, but were extremely unhelpful when picking out bands. They originally talked us into ordering a duplicate of my band, splitting it and soldering it on either side but when the order came in I realized how much the prongs on the open cathedral setting would stick out and hated it. I need to have it somewhat low profile since I am a veterinary student and don’t really want to gouge out any of my patients’ eyes.
I kept asking them to show me just a simple channel set band that was wide/tall enough to come flush with my ering, but they couldn’t/wouldn’t find one or else I am a crazy person and such a ring doesn’t exist. Finally we just left the store so I could calm down a little- but since we ordered the first one we have a $1500 credit on our account, so we’re pretty much locked into getting the band there now. I don’t know what to do.
Here is a front view of my actual ring, and here is a view of a twin ring I found on Pinterest with band. Does a higher- width band exist that will sit flush with most of the band? Has anyone else had a problem finding a band for their open cathedral e-ring? if so, what did you choose? Thanks!
And the twin:
