Hello! About 3 weeks ago I posted a poll asking what wedding ring I should get here: http://boards.weddingbee.com/topic/wedding-ring-choice-pic-heavy#axzz2Q06ezpW1
The leaves were the overwhelming favorite, but I just wasnt feeling that band for some reason. I felt a little sad that the hammered band didn’t get more love, and thought – self, if that’s how you feel, then clearly you love the hammered band!
Then Brilliant Earth came out with a new ring, and OMG is it just exquisite, and I’m torn all over again. It’s always something, right? So I’m stuck between the ring that is durable, dentable, and matches his, and the ring that is delicate, gorgeous and matches mine.
Oh, and I love both.
So here’s the lay of the land, yet again:
My engagement ring, about which I remain over the moon, and his band:
Option 1: Hammered
Option 2: Delicate Leaves

I love them both. I just love the delicate leaves more because it is so unique and I have never seen a band like it before. Good Luck choosing. I think either one will work and look great.

I LOVE ring #2, it’s amazing! I think it goes really well with your e ring!

HI!! It’s amazing, we are on the same wave length right now! I too am looking at wedding bands on brilliant earth! And that white gold hammered one is the one that Fiance picked out for his band! The leaves one is amazing and I was eyeing it but I have ultimately narrowed down to another band…
Now as for the hammered wedding band for you…. not sure if you have ever tried on a hammered band next to your e-ring or not? But if you haven’t I would suggest going to Tiffany & Co and check out their hammered wedding band so that you can see it against your e-ring. This is what I did and I ended up not liking the look of it, but at least I was able to see it in person first! I was really hoping to like it because then Fiance and I would have matching bands! Good luck! Let us know which you chose!

Thank you for your thoughts! It’s so hard to choose, they’re both beautiful. I like the look of the leaves a bit better, but the hammered is so practical – I could wear it anywhere, all the time, kayaking, dancing, no problem. The leaves would be less easy to wear all the time without worrying. But… so pretty. And so many agreeing about it being so pretty here on the bee…
I’ll definitely take that suggestion about trying something similar on, even though I can’t get my hands ont he rings themselves. We did email BE and ask if they could send a picture of the rings next to each other – that may be asking too much, though.

I love the hammered band. It still matches your band but you can wear it on its own and it matches your FH’s which is super sweet. Heck if it were me I might even hammer the band on the e-ring to match. Totally up to you though.

@mjoyelle: oh not at all!! Brilliant earth has been so awesome about sending me pictures of bands with erings that look like my actual ering. It been so helpful. Good luck. (P.s. you could always save one of the bands as an anniversary gift!)

Ugh, voters, you are feeding my impulsive OMG THE PRETTY side! You’re supposed to come in and tell me to be practical and get the ring I can wear all the time, like on our adventure hiking/kayaking/whale watching honeymoon in the Nova Scotia and Newfoundland.
Tiny leaf shaped diamonds are easily replaced, right? /rationalizing.
And @ms.jellen: I’m totally loving the that idea. I’ve already put in an order for the willow solitaire for a big anniversary (like, 5 or 10 year). Having the willow wedding band might make that unnecessary, since it goes so well with my celtic knot ring…
And just so you know, before all of this getting married stuff, I never really thought all that much about jewelry. My mother has wonderful taste so I just accumulated jewelry through gifts from her, but now that I’ve gotten a taste for trying to pick something out, I suddenly want ALL THE SPARKLY. Wedding industrial complex, you have created a monster, just as you planned all along.
