I’d love to help you but I ended up pairing my knife edge ering with a 2mm band. I was really happy with the way they worked together. Good luck searching. Any particular style you’re looking for? I loved how mine looked with the half eternity bands.

@blueberryrose:  I reckon you could match it with pretty much anything because the e-ring is so simple.

I’d just stick to the same type of metal, but I think you have many possibilities.

As long as you stay under 3 mm (not difficult these days) I don’t think it would look funny or anything. Just keep trying bands on until you find one you love 🙂

I’m in the exact same situation as you!  I have a smaller carat Tiffany solitaire and I really want a band that is substantial enough to wear on it’s own.  I’ve been looking at 3mm bands and am even considering 4mm.  Someone one here has an awesome moissanite solitaire with prongs that form a star (5 points).  She has a 4mm(?) milgrain band paired with it and it looks amazing.  I wish I could remember her name! Or try google image searching…I’ve found a few Tiffany solitaires with the 4mm etoile band and I think it looks really pretty.   Anyway, yes, I think you can pull it off!

Do you like the thickness because you like more of your finger taken up or because you want just a wider band in general? You could always do two bands and sandwich them around your e-ring for a bit of a bigger, blingy-er look. Even if they ended up being a bit wider than the engagement ring, with two it would help balance it a bit more.

This is a pave engagement ring with a spacer, but would actually end up looking pretty similar to what I am talking about-

Also, if you haven’t already been on it exploring, pricescope.com is a whole community full of diamond/jewelry fanatics. They were a great resource for me when I was looking for help as we started the ring buying process. I’d be really surprised if you couldn’t find pictures of what you’re looking for over there.
