I’m ordering my wedding ring 1/4 size bigger than my e-ring because it is full eternity, so it wont matter as much if it spins around.  Plus, since it’s eternity, it can’t really be resized, so i’d prefer it to be a little bigger.

I’d think you’d still be able to wear it alone – 1/4 size isn’t such a big difference, so it shouldn’t be falling off you.

My wedding band a 1/4 bigger than my engagement ring.  I actually like it that way because as a set, the seem to fit snugger.  Even though my wedding band is 1/4 bigger, I can still wear it without it falling off.  Plus, I don’t plan on wearing my wedding band by itself often.

I say, listen to your jewelers advice and get a 5- it really isn’t that much of a difference.  If you don’t like it, you can always size down.  I think it’s easier to size down than it is to size up!  Just my 2 cents 🙂

The wedding band sits lower on your finger than the e-ring, which is usually the narrower part. I’d think a *smaller* size makes more sense for the wedding band! That said, mine are the same size, and they both fit snugly.
