I think it’s normal to start wanting to get ideas for your wedding band right after getting engaged.

Dont think it really matters, you can get it whenever unless you are concerned about your size changing (due to pregnancy, etc etc) or if you aren’t sure and want to browse more styles online first. I was quite sure I wanted an eternity but held off for a while because I wasn’t able to decide whether to go 3/4 or full eternity.

You can get it whenever you want to! Just make sure to fully review what you want and try them all on! Haha!

We got ours last….February? I believe. Our wedding is this August. We happened to get a great deal for both our bands, so we jumped on it. I think we got about $300 off total.

I’m not getting married until around mid-2016 at the earliest and I’m definitely not buying a band anytime soon. I’ve looked around and tried on a bunch, but always end up changing my mind or at least giving my top contenders second-thoughts, so I know I’m bound to keep flip-flopping over the next 18+ months and would rather wait. Plus, I love “window shopping” for them, so the longer I have an excuse to look without feeling like I’ve already committed to a single one, the better!

We went looking at wedding bands about a week or two after getting engaged, mainly because the jewelry store had a gift for us to encourage us to look at the bands. They encouraged us to get them a few months beforehand in case we wanted something special ordered. A few months later, I started looking at wedding bands online, and after several more months, we ordered the bands. The jewelry store was actually really fast with our special order, and we had them in hand about 3-4 months prior to the wedding.

We went a couple weeks after we got engaged. We have been engaged almost 2 years and I’ve had both my wedding bands over a year. I Wanted an eternity band and knew I would stress about spending that type of money so close to the wedding. I say you can buy one whenever you want, but definitely try a lot on so you know exactly what you want!

BetchyBride:  I got engaged in March and wasn’t going to buy my wedding band til closer to the wedding, but then during the week of Thanksgiving, blue nile had a 50% off sale on some wedding bands.  I couldn’t pass up such a good deal, so I had to buy it.
