I tried on many plain bands and ended up choosing a knife-edge band to match the shape of my e-ring. Personally, I didn’t think a flat band looked right. For a diamond band, I think you have more options. I love the classic look of a shared-prong eternity.
Here’s my set:

Love your set! I didn’t actually think I’d like a knife edge wedding band but it looks great on it’s own!

I wear mine with a pave diamond band

i’m also trying to figure out whether to get matching pave knife-edge (the jeweler who created my e-ring could make a match band) or just a solid knife-edge. i love how delicate and sort of vintag-y my e-ring looks, so i’d like to keep the same vibe with my wedding band. Sorry the photos are bad quality – using my phone!

I have a 2mm knife edge diamond ring paired with a 1.9mm plain D-shaped wedding ring. The ring used to be 2mm but has lost a little gold in 26 years of marriage. The wedding date above is wrong because the registration form didn’t have any dates before 1993.

Here is my e-ring. It’s a knife cut. I got a comfort fit band, flat. It fits perfect against my ring. I love it. It’s a 3MM. The band is made by Benchmark.
