I’m looking for some opinions on choosing a wedding band. The engagment ring is a solitaire round, with a knife-edge, pave stone band. Here is a link to a picture:
There is a matching band, but I thought I would do a simple plain (i.e. no stones) knife-edge platinum band.
With that in mind, I popped into a local jeweler to try on a few and the jeweler told me that she shought the plain band took away from the engagement ring. (That being said, I tried on some flat bands. They didn’t have any knife-edge bands in stock. Apparently these types of bands are not popular? I had no idea. Anyhow, I digress…)
Just curious what people thought, and if anyone has something similar, in terms of pave, knife-edge e-ring and what you did for the wedding band.

I have a knife edge solitaire and was not sure how to match a band with it either. I had considered a pave knife edge but couldn’t find any to try on, and like you I couldn’t even find any plain knife edge bands to try. I ended up with two wedding rings – an eternity band to wear with the solitaire, and a cable band to wear alone. However, these rings ended up being bought to match FI’s band (there is a matching cable pattern on the inside of his band and my eternity band) rather than the solitaire but I think they still look good as a set.
