How soon after engagement or prior to your wedding did you order the bands? I’m curious on the timeline that they take to order and come in. No sense in ordering early, but I also don’t want to wait until it’s too late.
P.S. Not even engaged yet, just wondering!

We ordered them about 4 months before we needed them for the ceremony. I think our jeweler recommended ordering 2-3 months before you needed them, probably allowing for people who forget or procrastinate. Our rings weren’t in stock (simple bands but less common sizes), but they surprisingly arrived in only 1-2 weeks.
Our salesperson told us a story of a couple buying wedding bands on the day they were to get married, so I don’t think you can ever be too late in buying them!

We went shopping 10 months out just because we happened to be visiting the area that Fiance bought the e-ring from. We took them home the same day because both of the display rings fit us perfectly. However, we were advised the same as craigslistgirl
, 2-3 months. If you’re doing something custom or online, you may need longer to allow for returns or modifications. <br />

WE got our bands only a couple weeks before the wedding!! Luckily they came in time. Although most places said it doesn’t take very long for wedding bands to come in.

We’re getting my wedding bands from my friend who works in a jewelry gallery. Mine aren’t custom, but they do take 2 months to come in. So, I’ll be ordering them in April for my July wedding.
