msbr:  i am not married yetttt, but i bought this wedding band with the intention of wearing it alone if the mood struck… it’s actually 2 seperate bands. i like options haha

as for it getting ruined, i don’t think it would… i probably wouldn’t wear my ring for yard work more for the fact that i don’t want dirt stuck all up in it.

When I get home I take off my e ring but not my band. I also wear gloves at work and sometimes wear it alone then too. Just what floats my boat lol. It’s a little smaller sized than my e ring but I prefer it that way. 1/2 ct 14kt wg half etyernity. Here’s a pic.

msbr:  DH bought me a band that we thought worked well solo and in combination with my e-ring.

In reality, I pretty much never wear it solo, but I haven’t had a real reason to do so. I wear my rings pretty much everywhere. I feel like they’re meant to be lived in! Cheers to insurance. 😉

And the only (crappy) photo on my phone of my band solo…

PenguinCandy:  haha yeah it’s a GIA G color, but I have this phone case and you can see the case reflecting in the facets of the oval. I always say I need to take photos without my phone case, but I’ve yet to overcome my laziness to actually do it. Oops.

Can’t take a pic of my hand right now, but this is my wedding band only in rose gold. I wear it alone- Don’t have an e-ring.

msbr:  we purposely bought a band that would work as a stand alone should I want to wear it like that sometimes so I had to go for ‘the gap’ as I personally didn’t like the look of curved bands on my hand (ering has tricky setting).  I actually would have loved a plain platinum band – a thinner version of FIs one. But it looked rubbish with the gap and my eRing. Ended up getting one with elements of ering to have some sort of cohesion

i love your cris cross choice. My friend has a similar RHR that I’ve always admired, she has lost a couple of the diamonds though and had to take it for replacements as I think ones like this in a ring that’s worn all the time takes some knocking.

msbr:  LOVE. I want a yellow gold crossover band to wear solo, even if it becomes a RHR.

Not married yet, but I went the diamond band route since I have a solitaire. I love the combo together but also had the rationale that it would be nice to still have sparkles if I were to wear it alone.

I chose a 2.27 tcw eternity band. Initially I thought I wanted 18-20 point stones but when I tried them on it was too bulky between my fingers and felt odd. I didn’t love the 5/7 stone rings either. This is still quite blingy and will work great on its own – I’m not sure I will even pair it with my e-ring that often.
