engagement rings are all quite pretty. but wedding bands are generally:
-plain gold band
– silver coloured plain band
– two colour plain band.
why are they so borning? why do people continue to choose boring plain bands?

@BrideofChrist: maybe so as not to take away from the main rock star…the ering!

I think a lot of Bees on here have some beautiful non-plain wedding bands.
A lot of times people preffer a simple clean look that a plain band gives, in many cultures and regions it’s very traditional to give a plain band.
I have a diamond band for my wedding ring and I love it. I also tried a plain band and I really liked it too. Everyone has different tastes, styles, etc.

The wedding band is usually paired with the e-ring. Really fancy, intriquite and blingy wedding bands could look like too much which an extravegant e-ring.

I got a plain band because if I have to take my engagement ring off I want to still keep my band on so I didn’t want anything with diamonds or that needed to be gentle with. I find the bee does have lot of unique and non plain wedding bands around but it’s all a personal preference

Mine is a little different! However, I think plain bands are also super beautiful so I probably wouldn’t think any of them are boring. Some people like a simple, classic look. Some people want to showcase the design of their e-ring. Doesn’t seem boring to me, just a matter of taste.
Because I just got my wedding band recently (I can’t wait to actually wear it!) I am going to shamelessly show it off here. This is mine!

Because boring plain bands are pretty.
If you don’t like them, there’s loads of options with stones.

Traditionally most wedding bands have been plain metal, and some religions and traditions still call for it; others choose based on what looks best with their ER. However, in recent years diamond bands have been more popular than ever as wedding rings. If anything, I think wedding bands overall are becoming blingier (if that is a word) and moving away from the plain bands of tradition.

My wedding band is probably “boring” according to a lot of people but I picked mine because it enhances my simple E-ring and, in turn, the e-ring enhances my band. It’s a win, win.
I usually think non-boring wedding bands are too busy. They just aren’t to my taste. Boring to you means simple, clean and sophisticated to me.

I’ve seen far more sparkly jewel encrusted bands on the Bee than plain ones!
I have a plain one and I chose it because its practical, so I will never need to take it off. I wear it to sleep, cook, workout, work in the garden and any other messy dirty or odd job I can think of, it just stays on. I also like its simplicity. All my other jewellery is for decoration, it may have significance (belonged to a loved one, given to my by a loved one, a treat for myself to represent an achievement etc.) but it’s all decorative. My wedding band is not decoration it’s a symbol of commitment, a reminder of a simple promise, to love honour and cherish my husband forever. It doesn’t need to be showy it just needs to be there.

@BrideofChrist: My wedding band also has small diamonds on it. Matches the side stones on my e-ring. I love it and don’t think it’s boring at all!

@FleeSircus: Your set is really pretty.

I disagree. My wedding band is not boring. It features pave diamonds and milgrain.
Perhaps your idea of a wedding band- plain, all metal- needs to be expanded. I think ttraditional solitaure ezrings with plain bands are boring, but I know there are a lot of other styles available too.

I have a channel set anniversary ring that is my real wedding band but I also a plain titanium band and a WG band that I wear for work.
Wedding bands like erings can be anything it just depends on how the wearer defines it.

@FleeSircus: I think that’s a really beautiful set!
