So I am not too sure on when exactly you’re supposed to purchase your wedding bands but we are currently shopping around and I’m curious as to how much you guys spent on yours. Did you find/get any good deals?

We got FI’s at Sea of Diamonds online for a lot less than what we were going to have to pay at a brick and mortar jewelry store, and we got mine from Shane Company. Mine had to be custom made to fit my ering, and I also wanted just a little added bling, so it wouldn’t detract from my ering. I just wanted something that would compliment it.

We got ours from overstock.com for around $350 for both. But we just wanted simple, plain gold bands.

We just ordered ours last week for our August wedding. We are probably a little early – but mine is custom and FI’s has to be ordered in. FI’s band is costing us $900 and mine will be $250. We were originally going to get stones in mine – but now we’re going with a simpler gold band.

Together, both of our bands were $850. Fiance got a Tungsten ring for $350 and I have a half-eternity ring that was $500. Both were from Kay Jewelers.

We got ours yesterday! We went to the diamond district, mine is an eternity band (.57ct) and was $780, his is a plain white gold band and was $650.

Mine is a matching, designer band for my engagement ring and it was pricey – $1200.
Fiance wants a tungsten band which our jeweler has in stock for around $200.
So ours are VERY different in price!

We went to a brick and mortar store first to try on wedding bands for size and style. Talked with our jeweler who made my ering, he wanted more than the store! Then researched online at reputable sites for the best price.
We ended up buying both ours from The Facets Collection based in NYC. They gave us the best price for our platinum bands and we were also getting a 10% military discount on top because BIL is in the AF.
I can attest that we got VERY good deals for our wedding bands. Because I did my research and from the posts on here….

Mine actually looks more like a traditional solitaire engagement band (it was what matched my very unique engagement ring). It was on clearance for $260. FI is just getting a simple white gold 10k band for $300.

i’m using one band as both ering and wedding.

I am having my wedding band custommade for $944 it will be white gold with pave set diamonds in it that fit around my three stone e-ring. Fiance’s ring is $250.

The band on my e-ring is very thin (2 mm) because I really am not into big, bulky rings. So I really wanted my band to be the same width but I’m afraid when worn alone, it might look too small. Do any of you have thin wedding bands?

@angelica3025: mines super thin but I like delicate looking jewelry

We were very very lucky to have a friend who’s father is a custom jeweler. We were able to get custom rings at cost. Huge money saver!

My band came with my engagement ring as a set so I guess the band was around $550. I just picked up my FI’s and his ring (which is a plain white gold band) came in around $450.
