Hello Hive,
I am looking for a binder to help me keep all our wedding planning items together. Right now there are folders throughout my house with different wedding related things written on the front. I saw only a handful on-line and was wondering if any of you had luck in finding one. Or did anyone make their own? I love DIY projects. Please let me know if you have any suggestions for me.
Thanks 🙂

I made my own. 🙂 Went to Staples and got a 2 inch binder. Threw in a bunch of the colored plastics folders(pink for decor, red for reception, etc), got the plastic sheet covers and printed out a month by month calendar online, added a 3 hole punch, a pencil case to hold all my fine-tip colored Sharpies(to mark my calendar and yes of course everything is color coded!), Scotch tape, scissors, white-out tape, and most important is my USB full of every spreadsheet, powerpoint, word doc relating to the wedding. The binder is nice to house the calendar and all the paperwork we receive from vendors but I find that the USB is the most used item.
And I almost forgot my idea notebook which is a regular spiral notebook full of clippings from magazines categorized into attire, ceremony reception, photo ideas, etc.
Hope that helps! I found actual wedding planning books to be overpriced and not fit my needs. This way was very custom and really works for me.

I did forget the second most used item in my wedding bag, my new laptop. Great engagement gift from my aunt and uncle. 🙂

@baletrina: I see a trip to Staples in my future. Thanks for the advice. I think a DIY is the best option, this way I can build it to my liking. My only concern was all the magazines pages I’ve ripped out, but the folders are going to take care of that. I’m pretty sure I was just over thinking it before and you simplified it for me. Thanks again.
