I decided to chronicle my wedding planning in a blog since most of our friends and family do not live on Philly. We do not want them to feel left out of the planning so this will keep everyone tuned in. Please take a look and let me know what you think. Any input on the design of the blog would be helpful. I barely knew what a blog was before I decided to dive head first.
At the end of July I will be having tastings with Jeffrey Miller, Catering by Design, and the new caterer for the Seaport Museum so stay tuned if you are considering these vendors.

Thanks for the support. Just a little background info: I work on a ship six months a year in Brazil. I am home in Philly every other month, so you can see the difficulty in planning a wedding. It is a logistics nightmare. I am sure some guests would be put off if the bride didn’t show up because she was stuck in Brazil!!! While I am at work I have a lot of time to myself and I find myself buying ridiculous things on EBay (1,100lbs letterpress). I am very lucky to have an understanding Fiance. We met on a ship, but now my Fiance has a 9-5 at the Aker Shipyard in Philly as a Marine Engineer. The odds were definitely against us, but after almost 4 years we are still going strong, and one day I am sure we will look back and miss the craziness.

I love the title. Cute idea. I’m a follower now. Since I’m getting married in a month I’ll have more time to read.

chirico — FI’s whole family is from Philly so we are adding elements of Philly to our Upstate NY wedding. We are also planning long distance and blogging has helped so much in keeping thoughts in order. My blog is http://crosscountrywed.blogspot.com .
