You WILL have your bouquet in hand for all the important moments that will be captured by your photographer.

Have you thought of incorporating purple in your jewelry?

My groom’s bout matched my flowers and our GMs’ bouts matched our BMs’ flowers and in all of our pictures everyone looks like they go together.  Really, the only pictures where I don’t have my bouquet are during the reception itself (aka dancing, cake cutting, etc).

Plus – everyone is going to know that you, the bride, go with the groom – no matter the flowers!

ETA: I had red flowers against my white dress and our BMs had white flowers against their red dresses – so same idea as what you have except with red instead of purple.

Maybe give your man the white flowers and the groomsmen the purple flowers?

Think about it… you are wearing mostly white, bridesmaids mostly purple.  So shouldn’t your man’s color be white, and the groomsmens’ purple?

I know you’re trying to match flower colors across the bouquets/bouts, but I really think it would look better if you switched the two!

Just my 2 cents.  It’s gonna look gorgeous no matter what!!

I agree with @Mrs.KMM:. During all the staged pictures you will have your flowers and during the reception even if you don’t have flowers the normal pictures (cake cutting, first dance) people will know you’re the bride and he’s the groom.

Options no. 1, 1, and 1!  I like the all purple bouquet for you, the callalily bouquet for the bridesmaids, and the single callalilly for the white bout. regardless if you switch the groomsmen and Fi or not.  They all seem like the more elegant choice to me.  Great selections!

@Asia_Leone: I don’t have a ton of pictures from my wedding on this computer but I’ll try to find some that show you a Bridesmaid or Best Man with a Groomsmen and me with Darling Husband so you can see what our flower combos (which were what you were thinking but with red instead of purple) look like.

In the upper left corner, you can see our Maid/Matron of Honor and Bridesmaid or Best Man preparing to leave.  They both coordinate together with their white flowers and the Maid/Matron of Honor flowers “pop” against her dress.

Darling Husband red flower coordinates with my primarily red bouquet (which “pops” against my white dress).

@Asia_Leone: I like the idea of the Groomsmen in with purple bouts and your Fiance with a white bout. I would just add a few purple flowers to the Bridesmaid or Best Man bouquets to tie it all in.

You are doing exactly what I’m doing for colors and bouquets!! I have been debating on the boutonnierres also!!!

Would you consider something purple in your hairpiece – either some purple jewels, or a purple flower/feather? That would tie you to your groom better. I am having purple shoes, so although you won’t really “see” them all the time, atleast in some pictures (like when I’m kicking my heels up to dance) you might see the little pop of color under the dress.

In your FI’s bout maybe just add a little white like your dress to tie it together better, so he can still have the purple in it.
