This was mine..loved it!
This was mine..loved it!
Not sure of size but it was pretty hefty! Itemized to $150 with other flowers I ordered (also charged me tax and 10% setup/delivery).
If I could go back in time I would have paid for a mockup of my bouquet. It just wasn’t what I was envisioning, even though they used all the flowers they said they would etc.
chillbee29 : I had a 24″ circumference (12″ diameter-ish) sola flower bouquet (linked below). I wanted sola flowers so I could keep it as a keepsake. We have it displayed on our kitchen table! It came out so pretty and people couldn’t believe the flowers were made of wood!
Mine was pretty massive lol. And unfortunately the leaves just didnt last long in the heat. But it was a statement piece!
Mine were fresh flowers. I just love English roses and peonies, but unfortunately peonies would have cost me a fortune here, so I went with English roses. In the end it weren’t exactly the colors I of my inspiration pictures, but I still liked it. It was about 12 inches.
I love that big, loose bouquets are back. Very vintage.
I though I wanted a med, tight, blush rose bouquet until I saw so many big gorgeous ones. I ordered real touch, it’s big n trailing lavender, navy, white… nothing like I thought I would choose
I ordered a sola carcade bouquet that is supposed to be about 9×11 (though based on the pics it looks like it might be a touch longer… and I’m okay with that!). It’s due to arrive in the mail on Saturday and I’m so excited 🙂
Here are the pics sent to me of my bouquet. But knowing me, I’ll end up back in this thread to post pics of the real thing when it arrives 😛 (right now I’m trying not to feel paranoid that it got damaged during shipment!)
I’m not a fan of the huge bouquets that look like you pulled up a flower bush. I went very old school with a small cascading 8-10” and I loved it. The wedding I was in last year we had 14” bouquets and my arm was tired by the end of the ceremony! My bridesmaids had 6” bouquets! Also something to consider is how big your hands are, it can be hard to wrap around the big bunch of stems that’s so trendy now! I had mine put in a bouquet holder and it made everything much easier throughout the day!
Haha. I don’t know about inches buuuuut
i am making my own for my first weird wedding.
Yes it is a bouquet of cheap fakes from Michael’s, it has “tribbles” in it, it will have a Star Trek insignia, and it’s in a lightsaber bouquet.
*and* the flowers are the colors of enterprise uniforms. Ew, I know … but I had no choice in the matter, and it’s cracking me up.
Feel free to gasp in horror, bees – I’ll do anything for a laugh, and this wedding is for fun.
ETA: more photos of the gloriousness,
(now in technicolor!)
and my cat, Ahsoka 😉
The last wedding I was in we made the bouquets. We raided several familial flower beds and sideroads, then bought baby’s breath and a few grocery store flowers and they were very simple but pretty. You can definitely do flowers “on the cheap” if you want to
We just made my boquet this weekend (weddings not till May 19). I originally wanted fresh flowers but we were concerned about the blue Rose’s dyeing my dress. I also have two cats at home so we decided to play it safe and have artificial.
