Ours was originally $15,000 – including our $2500 honeymoon. I think our final costs came out to around $18000 for everything. We’re in the Southeast, so weddings definitely aren’t as expensive as I’ve seen NY Bees post about. We cut costs in our floral budget, no dj (played music from a playlist), and no seated dinner. This all fit in our garden party styled wedding and our day was perfect for us!

We’re in SOCAL and finding affordable anything was difficult in the beginning. Our original budget was 20K (half from each family), not including the honeymoon. When all is said and done, we will probably be around 25K, without the honneymoon. We will pay for expenses over 20K. The increase is mainly due to our guetilst expanding from 80 to 115, due to my mum adding more people than we discussed. But she’s paying for basically half, so I really don’t think I can complain much. What helped me stay in budget was letting go of my pintrest board and honestly, having a simple wedding with the things we love (great DJ and delicious food and desserts).I’d dather splurge on the things we love and that we know our friends will love than spend $$ on centerpieces that I really don’t care about.

We plan on getting married on the cheap! Our budget is $3500 for everything. My parents surprised us by offering to pay for my dress and they gave us $800 as well. So far, we’re well within our budget.

My budget is $2,500 for my whole wedding. We might do a honeymoon the year after our wedding. we just wouldnt have the time or money for it right away.
