- Wedding: September 2010
OK so our wedding reception is being held in a dance hall with a large outside area where we’re putting up a gazebo for oudoors shenanigans!! because this is all in the city we decided to have our wedding photo’s at the registry office (we lost our booking because of a paperwork error – but luckily someone else cancelled their wedding – that sounds awful “luckily”- so we now have our day back but at a different time!) which is one of the prettiest places in the city – I think!
In the UK there is usually a 3 + hour break between the service and the reception – I don’t know about the US. So after the service we are having our photo’s done outside the registry office and then we’re going off to help (in the loosest sense of the word :)) set up the hall – while our guests have cocktails – 1950’s ones in the gazebo – and we’re setting up the buffet tables, with food – which everyone is making and bringing, sandwiches, scotch eggs, crisps ect. I’m making spicy chips (fries to you Americans),
there is Jelly (Jello to americans) and profiteroles but does anyone have any ideas for nice buffet food that will keep and and be lugged around a bit??
cheers!! And sorry for the needlessly long post!!!
