I say its your wedding. do what you want. Most weddings Ive been to have had a lot of leftover cake. I think doing a smaller cake to slice and then having a sheet cake for the guests, is a cheaper option. If you want a smores bar, do one. It sounds like an awesome touch to your lodge wedding. I think weddings that have “older” people will have more cake eaten. if you have a lto of younger quests, they probably wont eat as much desserts. Almond cake with raspberry filling sounds delish to me!

Do both! Get a smaller tiered cake and then sheet cake to supplement. It should be relatively affordable for less than 200 people. Most 3 tiers serve around 100 anyway.

Almond cake is fantastic. I also loved a raspberry and almond cake at my first tasting, but FI’s mother is allergic to raspberries so we can’t do that.

And I’m seen s’mores bars done really elegantly and I think you should do it and people will love it.

I think you should go with enough sheet cake for everyone, and if there is leftover I know I sure would be happy to take home an extra slice as a guest.

If you have your heart set on both, I say go for it.  But as PPs have said, I would make sure that you have enough cake for everyone if they want a piece.  I would be bummed if there was not enough cake for me to get a piece, that’s my favorite part of wedding food!
