I am so excited! We have booked our wedding cake creator (what is the ideal word for that? Baker? Cake artist?)!!!
We actually first met Jacque at a bridal expo and her cake was to die for! It literally melts in your mouth. I never dreamed that my wedding cake could taste this good. We were all set to go with another place but Jacque stayed open late for us so we could have a cake tasting and consultation. We went in and she let us try three samples: red velvet (my FI’s absolute favorite flavor of cake), FRESH strawberry, and champagne. Let me tell you, all three flavors were ABSOLUTELY amazing. My personal favorite was the fresh strawberry. I cannot get over how amazing it tasted. It was SOOO good. My FI’s personal favorite was, of course, red velvet.
So, now we were at a crossroad. What flavor would we decide on? Well, lucky for us we didn’t have to. She announced to us that she didn’t change for extra flavors or design so we could have as many flavors as we wanted! 🙂 *Squeee!* So, this is what we have decided:
We are having a three tier cake and a two layered sheet cake.
**Our Anniversary tier is going to be the Fresh Strawberry because he knows how much I loved it. Isn’t he sweet?! 🙂
**Our middle tier is going to be champagne. Jacque recommended to have some form of white cake for the older attendees and we liked the champagne flavor so much that we went with it! Plus, maybe it’ll save us money on actual champagne *wink wink* Of course, I’m kidding, but it makes me laugh when I say it.
**Our bottom tier is again going to be the fresh strawberry.
**Now, the two-layered sheet cake is going to be red velvet, so everyone is happy!
This picture is what our cake is going to look like except it is going to be square. The scrolling on the cake will still be in white but it will be what is on our invitation instead. That way we are tying everything together!
