Dizzyfizz:  My cousin had a giant donut cake, it was super cute, he’s a cop so it was also funny. Another friend did a pie cake, with different pies for people. They were not cake people. Someone else I know did an ice cream bar instead.

Personally I’m doing a dessert bar, there will be cakes and cupcakes, but also pies, tarts, cheesecake, cookies, squares, trifles… can you tell I have a sweet tooth? lol.

cake pops

I feel like most of the wedding cake gets wasted b/c no one eats it...so why not have a wedding cake made of cake pops...everyone can just take a mouthful and you won't have to waste the $$ on an entire cake that barely gets touched.

I just worked a wedding where they had chosen a giant white chocolate macademia nut cheesecake. It seemed popular! Some ate it for breakfast.

Ha! My Fiance is friends with a guy who owns a donut place where we live that specializes in odd donuts (maple bacon, chicken and waffles, etc) and we are trying to get them to collab on a special donut for our wedding! This shop is pretty famous locally and we think everyone will get a kick out of it!

Desert bars are always a good idea too. Especially people like me whose inner fat kid comes out after drinking. 🙂
