I have been trying to think of some fun alternatives to a traditional wedding cake, but I’m having some trouble.
I don’t want to do the cupcake wedding cake-i feel like that is really popular, but I want something a little different…like a giant tiramisu or something.
Would love to know if anyone has been to a wedding with a cool alternative or if anyone has ideas!

Dizzyfizz: My cousin had a giant donut cake, it was super cute, he’s a cop so it was also funny. Another friend did a pie cake, with different pies for people. They were not cake people. Someone else I know did an ice cream bar instead.
Personally I’m doing a dessert bar, there will be cakes and cupcakes, but also pies, tarts, cheesecake, cookies, squares, trifles… can you tell I have a sweet tooth? lol.

I just worked a wedding where they had chosen a giant white chocolate macademia nut cheesecake. It seemed popular! Some ate it for breakfast.

Ha! My Fiance is friends with a guy who owns a donut place where we live that specializes in odd donuts (maple bacon, chicken and waffles, etc) and we are trying to get them to collab on a special donut for our wedding! This shop is pretty famous locally and we think everyone will get a kick out of it!
Desert bars are always a good idea too. Especially people like me whose inner fat kid comes out after drinking. 🙂
