Oh my gosh! How horrible!!  I’m sure they’ll get their orders done, and will certainly have something worked out by the time your wedding comes.  They may have to rent kitchen space for a while, and that will probably suck for them, but I’m sure they have insurance and will get back on their feet quickly enough.

Oh no! I hadn’t noticed that. I hope they get up and running soon, that’s sad for them and all their clients.

If it makes you feel any better, wedding cakes are not too terribly difficult to make other places. I’m sure they have professional tools and appliances that help them to be more efficient, but I’m able to make my tiered cake in a tiny apartment kitchen, so even if they don’t have a facility they may still be willing to work with you.

I READ IT ON YAHOO YESTERDAY!!!! Crazy.  I hope they bounce back quickly, too.  I loved watching them on tv.  My fingers are crossed that they pull thru for your wedding.

They’re actually a few doors down from the animal rescue we adopted our last dog from! I was so afraid that something could’ve happened to the rescue… They keep the dogs in kennels overnight, if there was a fire… 🙁

I just looked that up; it IS sad. If I had an order with them, I would be looking for a backup plan until they contacted me.

I wonder if they’d outsource their cakes to other bakeries till they get back up and running. I’d imagine they’d be fine in two months but for the next few weeks they’d probably be out of comission.
