yes — you should be able to bring ribbon, toppers, other decorations.  they will even ask you to ask your florist to provide any flowers you want placed.

Some bakers will request that you bring your own ribbon/other decorations for your cake. They will sometimes also coordinate with your florist. Basically if it is not made of gum paste/fondant then they may not provide these sorts of things.

 

 

@TheHandsomeMan:  I actually will sometimes bring my own oil filter when I get my oil changed depending on where I take my car. If it goes to the dealer and will get a high quality filter then I won’t bring it but if I take it to some 20 minute oil changing place I will bring it. Also I do not see how this question is “dumb” If you can’t say something nice then do not say anything at all.

Anyway, I definitely think that you’d be able to provide decorations for your cake. Maybe give the bakery a call instead, since they clearly are not so great over email?
