No, that’s what ours cost & that was the cheapest price! You can always display it around your home for it to be less of a waste, ya know.

$45 but ours will be fresh flowers……I’m also considering sugar flowers now too because they are sooo pretty. But $75 for a topper you will keep forever would be worth it to me.

I don’t think it’s a waste if it’s something that is important to you (: especially if it’s going to be a keepsake. We paid $35 for ours and it was regularly $45. It’s actually a cute story; we got ours from a local bakery. Growing up my mom would take me to the bakery to get a treat a few times a month and everytime I would admire the wedding cake toppers. There was this one of a bride and groom dancing that I loved. I always said that I would have it on my wedding cake when I grew up. The funny thing is that when we bought our topper from the bakery it turned out to be the EXACT SAME topper from when I was younger. I can’t believe in all those years they didn’t sell it ahah.

Ours are going to be little ceramic figurines from those places where you can paint your own. I already had mine so we’re really only going to by buying his.

I personally will be livid at myself if I spend more than $7 on my cake topper. I just feel like they’re a detail no one (unfortunately) really notices. (Think about it, have you ever noticed a cake topper when at a wedding?) I’m scoping somesilly monograms out on eBay.

But that’s a really cute story!

I’m tempted to splurge on a cake topper. I’d love something customized that we could display in our home afterward. If it’s something you’d display, I think a somewhat high cost could be worth it.

@lealorali:  Maybe I’m a weirdo (totally could be), but I remember a lot of the cake toppers from weddings I’ve been to.  Not ALL of them, but I remember the memorable ones.

Hoenstly though, the same could be said about everything in a wedding–I also don’t remember every wedding dress, the colors of the weddings, the food at every wedding, the decor, or the dj.  I *do* remember the standouts though—the standouts in both a good AND bad way.
