I’m in love with orange Grand Marnier chiffon cake, but do I want orange Grand Marnier chocolate truffle cake or just orange Grand Marnier cake?
I cannot decide which would be best. I could do different layers, can I do different flavor for each layer? Hmm…
I haven’t met with a cake designer yet, so thanks for helping!!!!!!!!!!
P.S. did you go to "tastings" … and what happened etc.? Thanks

If you can afford it, go with both flavors! Mixing up the layers will make a bolder statement and give your guests a choice, which is great, especially for those chocolate lovers. You could even go with your first fav choice and do another layer in a completely different flavor, a total opposite. Example, chocolate cake with a hazlenut mousse filling. Yummy! The sky is the limit on flavors so have fun with it and mix it up.

I wonder which cake flavor would contrast and be delicious as another layer? I want to have between 5 and 7 tiers.

both both both! Or do a different flavor on each layer. Remember, not everyone likes chocolate (like me!) so it’s nice to have an option of the orange grand marnier and the orange chocolate.
Personally i heart lemon raspberry =]

Oh my gosh, I can’t decide! They both sound so good; I don’t think you could go wrong either way. Great flavor choices!

I think mixing up the layers would be a great option. Some cake shops offer it for little or no additional cost!
