Hey there bees! So, last night I posted a poll about wedding favor cd’s for the guests at the wedding. Here is the original poll.
So, now that there was such a huge response (THANK YOU!!) I need to get more clarification and run a secondary poll.
We have talked about it and some Bees brought up some great ideas as to keeping the cd favor idea but doing more of a combination of Fiancé singing and using the actual artists. We really love that idea, especially my fiancé, he is very modest about what he does and did not want people to think he was promoting himself or being pretentious. SO, since there was a healthy mix of responses and we are changing the concept a little, if you could help a girl out and tell me what you think!! Here is the link again with my fiancé singing. http://snd.sc/Zvd2lO.
He is a professional musician and the music will be recorded in our studio so it will have that professional sound.
Keep in mind, I know that people throw out wedding favors and just because it is a cd doesn’t mean that it won’t end up in the trash. We just want to do something that has “us” on it and not the basic jug of bubbles or a shot glass. (Not saying that there is anything wrong with those favors, any gift is a great one, we just want something typical but still unique!)

I voted to have him do a few. I think it’s awesome and very personal. My cousin is a musician and for Christmas last year he gave each of us a CD of his band and another one of him singing alone. Everyone loved it.

I didn’t vote, because I think he should sing all the songs!
I don’t understand why it should be a mix.. He can sing, the wedding is about you guys, so let him sing the songs? It’s a fantastic Favour just the way it is.

@FortiesFlare: that’s day I had planned but the majority vote on the other poll said it was too pretentious.

Personally, I think CDs are a little outdated.

- Wedding: August 2013 - The Liberty House
I think you should have him do a few, because that’s what he’s most comfortable with. Your family will love it. Plus it gives people something other than top 40 to listen to on the car ride home.
I also don’t think this is pretentious at all

@MeiFrancis: I 100% agree with you about it being comfortable for him!!! I did have my heart set on the whole CD but, the idea of an old school mix tape just sounds better the more I ponder the idea!! I may still have him make me another CD….I just love his singing!
