I got married at Casa Del Camino and it was AMAZING! Rooftop overlooking the ocean, so beautiful! Not on the cheap side though.

I also checked out Casa Romantica and Ocean Institute like @lilbluebird and both were very cool and very different. We love Laguna though and the fact that everyone can walk everywhere there which is a large part of why we went there.

Paddison Farm is an historic outdoor venue.  Really pretty.  Walled in next to a shopping center, but very pretty inside.  I’ve never been to an event there, but know people who just loved it.  Sorry, I’m not very helpful.  But it is right off the freeway, easy to get to.  And I’ve seen the peacock’s LOTS of time.  They like to hang out in Target’s parking lot sometimes.

Also, for outside catering, we love Stonefire Grill  And the servers they sent were amazing!

@clauds:  Total it was around $12,500 for 106 people.  That included the venue (two different locations on the property for ceremony and reception), changing area, chairs for ceremony, aisle runner, alter table, guest book table, gift table, 11 tables for reception with wooden chairs (choice of color), all linens in choice of color, cocktail tables, centerpieces (you could pick from 5 different kinds), candles, flower petals, patio heaters, china, passed hors d’oevres, buffet, cake that we got to design, open bar, and coffee/tea station.  It was by far one of the most reasonable places we found and it really was pretty.

Usually beach weddings are nice, beautiful and affordable!

I spoke with this company a bit and they do some really affordable packages that take advantage of the beauty that we have here in OC without charging for it!

All inclusive Orange County beach wedding packages

You’d have a coordinator to take care of all those permits and annoying things.

The pictures are beautiful!

If you want to get married at a city, county, or state park, a lot of their locations are outdoors. I know at looked at OC parks as well as the city parks for San Clemente and Oceanside that had views of the ocean.

A friend had her wedding at the Historic Cottage at San Clemente State Beach and she’s still raving about it. http://www.parks.ca.gov/?page_id=24692

@clauds:  They don’t allow outside catering, the package (rentals, food, venue) is actually booked through the catering company.  Gourmet Gourmet Catering. That didn’t include DJ or photography. But they really were easy to work with and they had different options for catering, our’s was the middle priced one, there were a couple that would have been cheaper and one option that was more expensive.

@clauds:  Hi,

I am also looking to do an outdoor wedding with a similar budget as yours. I am having a hell of at time finding more information on people who did DIY weddings in parks. Currently I am looking at Irvine parks. I like the idea of a park because it seems cheaper (though costs more in your time and effort) and you have more flexibility to do what you want. Have you had better luck? Can we commiserate?

How did you get a free reception? Could you give any details about this please? That would really help me out if I could get a free reception. We are on a very very tight budget. Thanks.
