(Closed) Wedding Ceremony Names

I always think the full proper name should be used in a ceremony since its your official name on any documents and the ceremony is official. 

In any introductions at the reception I would go with whatever names you two want.

I understand – I am similar.  My legal name is something like “Catherine” but I’ve gone by “Katie” all my life. (not my actual names, but you get the idea.)

We used “katie” in the ceremony. It felt more true to who I really am.  Of course on the documentation it says Catherine, but for the spoken vows, “Katie” felt more right, especially to my husband who’s never ever called me Catherine.
